Doing More vs Achieving More

Building and managing a large group like Succession Financial Planning amplifies the problems we have on a personal level. In the same way that families and small teams struggle with things like growth and success, larger communities grapple with the same challenges!

This could be because we live in a culture that often equates being busy with being successful. But have you ever felt like you're doing everything… and getting nowhere?

That’s because taking on more doesn’t always mean accomplishing more. The paradox is that deep, meaningful work (whether at home or in a large business like ours) comes from less clutter, not more chaos. When you spread yourself thin, you're more likely to lose focus, make mistakes, and burn out. But when you pare back and focus your energy, you're more likely to produce work that matters.

So as you scope out your next week, project, or season, ask yourself: what can I stop doing? What distractions can you clear away so you can make room for what matters?

We often have to stop and ask ourselves the same things!

You don’t have to do it all. You just have to do the right things. That’s the real mark of progress.
